Harriet Launch Kickstarter To Fund Forthcoming Debut Full-Length Album
DECEMBER 17, 2012 – LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles based quartet Harriet today launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the recording of their much anticipated forthcoming debut full-length album. The yet to be titled album is the follow up to the band’s acclaimed debut EP Tell The Right Story, which was self-released in January 2012 and praised by everyone from NPR Music to MTV Buzzworthy. The EP also featured the much buzzed about blog breakout track “I Slept With All Your Mothers“. The new album will be recorded in early 2013 in Sacramento, CA at the Hangar Studios and will be produced by Sean O’Brien.
Extensive Kickstarter incentives include:
- Instrument lessons from the band
- Carwash, dog-sitting, and cat-sitting
- Lock of hair from your band member of choice
- Band massage
- Dinner dates with the band
- Advance album listening parties
- Private house shows
See below from Harriet: Whether you’ve been with us from November 30, 2011 when we unleashed our first single “I Slept With All Your Mothers” or you were just turned on to our band, we want to start by thanking everyone for what was an amazing first year for Harriet. Via Kickstarter and the support of our friends and family, earlier this year we were given the opportunity to travel to Austin, TX to showcase our music at South By Southwest. Since then we’ve completed a very successful month-long residency at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, toured the west coast with A.C. Newman, and supported bands we love. Everything above leads us to where we are now… It’s time to make a Record! We couldn’t be more excited to make this dream a reality and deliver a great record. If you’ve enjoyed our music in the past, and you have the means, we would LOVE your support towards this goal.
