GREAT WHITE CONCERT TO BE BROADCAST OVERSEAS
Honoring heroes at home and abroad, Grammy nominated classic rockers, GREAT WHITE announced today that the Sebastian, Fla., concert this evening will be broadcast via Armed Forces Entertainment to Afghanistan.
‘Rock ‘N For Our Heroes,’ a benefit concert to support the Wounded EOD Warriors Foundation, will be held at Capt Hiram’s. Armed Forces Entertainment plans to feed the concert to Orlando’s 143rd Sustainment Command.
“We feel so fortunate to be a part of this project at Capt Hirams,” GREAT WHITE said. “The idea that our brothers and sisters serving on the other side of the globe will have the chance to ‘be there’ is just incredible. We thank them for their service to our country and we know we are given the chance to play the music we do because of men and women like them.”
Featuring founder Kendall (guitar), and 28-year-veterans Lardie (guitar, keyboards) and Audie Desbrow (drums), they are joined by lead singer Terry Ilous and bassist Scott Snyder. GREAT WHITE emerged unscathed from late 2011 band member changes. Best known for the 1989 smash “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” GREAT WHITE’s worldwide sales are approaching 10 million. Their song arsenal also includes “Rock Me,” “Save Your Love,” “The Angel Song,” “Mistabone,” “I’ve Got Something For You” and “Feeling So Much Better,” (recent Top 20 on the Billboard Classic Rock Chart). “Hard to Say Goodbye” is currently No. 20 on Classic Rock Radio.
