LACED IN LUST – Fire [single]
Self released, 2012
By Shane Pinnegar
7/10
Adelaide may the “City of churches” to some, but to those of us in the know it’s fast becoming the dirty sleaze rock capital of this sunburnt country.
LACED IN LUST follow in the footsteps of Generation Swine with a raw, sleazy debut slab. LIL have more Hanoi Rocks swagger and bluesy sass about them than GS, who absolutely nail the more sleazy hair metal corner of the genre.
Whether they’re singing about oral shenanigans in Fire, unjust arrest in On Parole or life in general (Come Down From The Line), it’s heartfelt, brutally raw and honest, and born from a place where torn denim, scuffed leather and cheap booze is all the rage.
One to watch out for!
